The present work on paper is a study for Angus, Jamie Wyeth's 1974 oil painting in the collection of the Brandywine Museum, Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania. According to the Brandywine Museum, Wyeth purchased an entire herd of Black Angus cattle in order to paint them.
